It's bad when...

- for the second night of three the family has take-away for dinner even though there is a fortnightly menu plan and a well stocked cupboard and fridge... - you are so tired because of nightly feeds and your day starting at 5am due to the eldest child's standard wake-up and a request to play the computer. - but then there is figure skating on ESPN and well, I just love figure skating. It's a weakness I know - you fall asleep on the lounge so your husband makes you go to bed - you lie down in your bed and the New Recruit wakes up precisely F.O.U.R. minutes later for a feed - when you go back to bed your husband has been there for about five minutes and is already snoring like a bastard - you lie there and think of really witty things to fill your blog with - you can't let it go because you know there will be visitors from the other hemisphere while you sleep and they can't miss just how witty and intelligent (as opposed to puerile and smutty) you can be - when you get here you can't remember any of the witty stuff, just the end of an internal monologue joke that went "so something something something that I'd even giggle if someone said sixty-nine".

Hi there. I am over from Michele's place. You are right about sitting in bed and think about what to blog only to forget it when you get to the computer. Happens to me all the time. I think the kids suck some of your brain out of your body when they are born because with everyone I have, I get a little more forgetful.

Good morning! I'm here via Michele's place.

I'm convinced that I'll never sleep well again or even have a decent thought in my brain that I can remember for longer than 2 minutes, until after my kids move out.

And I dread that day!!

I'll be back!!!

Michele sent me, congrats on being site of the day!

As soon as I sit at the keyboard, I totally lose what I had planned on blogging. Mommy brain I guess?

Hi - Michele sent me. Get a tape recorder and tape your brilliant thoughts so you don't forget. How could you help but forget when you're so tired.

Get rest honey and soldier on!

Hello!

Congrats on being Michele's site of the day.

I have a terrible memory, so I used to use post-its to write down the essentials. Then I found myself living with a mountain of post-its. Now I put everything into my moleskine notebook - even the half-baked stuff. I don't know if the blog is any better, but I definitely have more ideas to choose from.

Hello from Michele's! I've been sleep deprived more nights than I care to count. Since my babies are all grown up, give that tiny little one a smooch from me. He is adorable (I saw his picture down below)!

I can't count the times I've been driving along, mentally composing the World's Best Blog Entry, only to forget it by the time I get home.

Here via Michele's! Now I'm going to snoop around :)

Hello, Michele sent me. This blog is like a two-for-one, nice.
Adorable New Recruit, congratulations. And this post perfectly sums up the 'it's bad when's of being a blogging mama. :)

Hi. Michele sent me. My posts are always much wittier in my head than when they actually get published. Something gets lost in the "typing"

Hi, Michele sent me! I love love love your blog! I especially love that two (very witty) Mom's share the responsibility of it.

It is sad what blogging has driven me to do. I've actually dropped what I was doing to run to my computer and type some blogging thoughts before I lost them... Sad.

LOL I can relate to all of that, although the nights are not so bad now my youngest is 19 months...
I carry a notepad around to jot blog thoughts down in... truly sad. And then I can never understand them when I read through them anyway.. sigh
